The adapter harness is required to install a standard XBB Dongle\u00ae on car models built on Mercedes\u2019 new MRA2 platform<\/a>. On these car models, it is not possible to connect the XBB Dongle\u00ae in the traditional way via the vehicle\u2019s diagnostic port (OBD2 connector). Instead, the XBB Dongle\u00ae must be connected to the internal CAN-bus network. The recipes for these models can currently be found under PP-CAN.<\/p>\n\n\n

This type of installation is significantly more advanced than a standard XBB Dongle\u00ae installation, and we therefore strongly recommend leaving it to a vehicle bodybuilder or automotive workshop equipped with the proper tools and solid knowledge of vehicle electronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note! <\/strong>
In addition to the adapter cable (Part No: IDAB-2025-0113-1), the correct hardware version of your XBB Dongle\u00ae is also required. It must support CAN-FD, which is available starting from hardware model XBB Dongle 2. This version has been manufactured and delivered since June 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see which version your XBB Dongle\u00ae has in the app under the XBB Dongle\u00ae settings.<\/strong>
